Rejoice in the Lord for this is the work of His hands! Lighthouse of Hope Christian Fellowship (LHOH) has expanded in its various forms of Evangelism. The message of Christ has been preached in various ways reaching a wide variety of people than ever before in our church history.
Locally, during the free hot meal service to the public provided by the Metro Vancouver Dream Centre, LHOH offers literature, spiritual guidance, comfort and prayer for those seeking it. The main message underling this endeavour is sharing the love of Christ.
Queer Women of Faith
Queer Women of Faith is a new ministry for 2013 launched by Marcy Moore. This group was developed to offer a safe ‘non-church‘ environment for Lesbian and Transgender women and their friends to share, grow, heal and come to know the love of Christ. The group is open to all, regardless of their religious background. Ultimately, the underlying goal is to break down barriers so that people will come to know the Lord Jesus Christ personally.
The Transgender Ministry
The Transgender Ministry is designed to reach a target group encompassing a broad spectrum of people. Through this ministry by peer support, counsel, and conferences many people are encouraged and have an opportunity to know the full all-encompassing love of Christ.
Church For All International Bible School
Internationally, the message of Christ is being reached by providing Bible based teachings to train and equip Christian leaders to spread the gospel through personal correspondence
The nature of Evangelism across the world to establish churches and working alongside other believer’s requires it to be under the direct covering of the Elders and Apostles of LHOH.
The vision for the evangelism work under World Missions is as follows:
- Training, equipping, mentoring and appointing future leaders (pastors, elders, deacons)
- Establishing and opening churches (e.g. LHOH-Sengera, LHOH-Magena, LHOH-Riobonyo)
- Teaching the Bible and Christian living in Kenya
- Training Missionaries (e.g. Missionary Boot camp)
- Working alongside other churches to equip, mentor and encourage in foreign and local missions
- International Bible distribution
World Wide Bible Distribution
Bibles for Africa
Each year missionaries under LHOH leadership travel to Kenya, and personally oversee the purchase and distribution of Bibles in the local languages. This enables a team for Evangelism through Bible distribution and Bible study sessions in other villages.
Bibles for Nepal.
Nepal (near Katmandu) is another area we are distributing Bibles. By enabling a team of evangelist, the gospel is spread in various regions and many Bibles are placed.
To date, World Missions have distributed Bibles in Masai, Kiswahili, Ekegussi, Nepalese and English.
